SAFEGROUNDS conducted a consultation about key principles for the selection, implementation and validation of the preferred options for managing, and particularly remediating, contaminated land on nuclear-licensed sites and defence sites.
These key principles are the most important part of the SAFEGROUNDS best practice guidance on this subject. All the information collected was taken into the discussion and debate at stakeholder workshops held on 17 May 2001 and 2 July 2001.
The first stage of the consultation was held in December 2000/January 2001 and was an initial request for views. You can view the responses to the questionnaire here.
The second stage of the consultation was held in March 2001 and asked for reactions to potential key principles as well as views on other topics that might be taken forward by the SAFEGROUNDS project. You can view the responses here.
